Things to know before joining the Full Moon Party (Updated 2025)

  • The Original Full Moon Party takes place on every full moon night on Haadrin Beach,Koh Phangan, Thailand. In case of full moon day falls on the Big Buddhist holy day, they will postpone to the next day. Please check the latest update of the full moon party calendar below.
  • Traveller can choose to stay on Koh Phangan (best to stay at Haad Rin) or Koh Samui (takes about 25 minutes by speedboat to party). Don’t need to stay overnight at Phangan.
  • The Full Moon Party is the big, Outdoor party on Haad Rin. You can find plenty of shops, restaurants, street foods, pubs, bars, hotels, bungalows, and hostels in the area.
  • In the area of the event, there are various music stages, including entertainment activities, plays such as fire jumping ropes, water slides, etc.
  • Tourists who are staying in Koh Phangan or Haad Rin can come to relax and drink in the event zone from late afternoon onward. The party will start to get crowded after 10 p.m. and the event ends in the morning around 6 a.m. So don’t miss to see the beautiful sunrise at the beach after the party.
  • There is an entrance fee of 200 baht per person, which you can pay in cash at the party entrance gate. You will get a wristband as a souvenir. The party area is open for relaxation and shopping. You are free to buy your own food and beverages anywhere you want.
  • The event is an open space, and many tourists are at the party. Please enjoy the party with precaution in mind. You should have an emergency contact number in hand, or be aware of meeting point in case of getting lost or needing help.
  • Most tourists are friendly. However, do not drink or eat from strangers, enjoy the party consciously.
  • Be careful of your own belongings such as wallets, mobile phones, and slippers.
